하이디는 이때부터 전나무(fir tree) 숲에 불어오는 바람소리를 좋아했구나. 어릴적 읽었던 이야기 속에서 하이디가 산 위의 바람소리를 듣기 위해 도시의 저택을 몽유병자처럼 헤메고 다녔던 대목이 떠올랐다.
"I can’t see, but I can hear, and when one is blind, it is so good to hear a friendlly voice, and yours I love already." p.50
30주 완성(!)에 도전했던 '하이디(Hedi)'와 '나츠메 우인장(夏目友人帳)' 읽기가 지난 8월 폭염과 함께 스러져 버렸다. 이후 계속 눈에 밟히던 2권의 책 중 하이디를 먼저 꺼내들었다. 한달이 조금 넘게 계획을 벗어나 버렸지만 대신 7페이지 목표를 10페이지로 상향 조정!
(나츠메, 조금만 기다려줘. 일단 하이디부터 만나고^^;)
