Sensational. This book is a guiding light to make me understand how things have gone this way.

Intellectual property rights like patents, differently from the original objectives, are now more hampering than helping the innovations. The author used Disney as a good example to avoid copyright issues by using old stories as the basis for its production.

The author claims that higher taxes are not solutions to the current economy. More capitalism through competition is the solution of the book. Personally, I think we need to add one more condition to that. The limit to the ownership of capital: we need to set a limit to the maximum amount of capital that one can own through one’s lifetime. This way we can make sure that ‘we can live a living through living, not only through earning.’

The author wrote that this book is to change the system in a conservative way before too late. While I can understand his view, another thought comes to my mind. What has ended the Middle Ages of Europe? Are they the nobles like knights? The Catholic Church? Kings or queens? No. So, I doubt if any positive change can happen from those who get the benefits from the current economy.
